Rooted & Recognised is an 8-week group programme for skilled immigrants who are tired of constantly proving themselves and ready to reconnect with who they are, rebuild self-trust, and start being recognised more clearly for their value.
Limited to 20 participants per cohort.
Still, something has shifted.
You may be applying for roles that match your background and hearing nothing back.
You may be getting interviews, then losing out to people with less experience but more local credibility.
You may have taken a survival job just to make ends meet, and now you are quietly wondering whether that temporary step back has become your new normal.
That kind of experience does something to a person.
It is not just frustrating.
It is disorienting.
It can leave you feeling professionally invisible, emotionally exhausted, and further away from the person you used to be.
This is where many skilled immigrants get stuck.
The problem is not a lack of ability.
It is that they are trying to solve a deeper problem with surface-level tactics.
The real problem is not your CV.
You are dealing with something most career advice completely ignores.
When you moved countries, the market did not just fail to recognise your credentials.
It failed to recognise you. The professional identity you spent years building, your reputation, your track record, the way people used to see your competence without you having to explain it, all of that was stripped away the moment you arrived somewhere new.
What replaced it was silence. Rejection. The quiet, grinding work of proving yourself to people who do not yet understand your value.
Over time, that changes how you see yourself.
That is why generic advice falls flat.
"Fix your CV."
"Network more.""(Even though many roles at your level are filled through connections you have not yet had access to.)
"Be more confident."
Those suggestions miss the point entirely.
You need a structured way to reconnect with who you are, translate your expertise clearly, build real professional trust in this market, and do it alongside a community of high-achieving peers who understand what this experience can cost.
Rooted & Recognised is an 8-week group coaching programme for skilled immigrants who are ready to stop constantly proving themselves, reconnect with their professional identity, rebuild self-trust, and translate their experience in ways that lead to clearer recognition.
Inside the programme, you will work on the bridge most other offers ignore: the connection between how you see yourself and how other people recognise your value.
We help you reconnect with your professional identity, trust your experience again, and communicate it more clearly.
We help you express your experience in ways that build trust, clarity, and professional respect.
This is where self-trust and recognition start to meet.
That is what makes it different.
Most programs focus on one side of the problem.
They either give you tactical job search advice with no understanding of what migration has done to your confidence, your identity, or your sense of belonging.
Or they give you emotional support with no real structure, no practical way to turn insight into recognition, and no clear path forward.
✓ Reconnect with the professional identity that has been worn down by repeated under-recognition
✓ Stop the cycle of over-functioning, second-guessing, and shrinking yourself to fit
✓ Translate your overseas track record into language other people can recognise and respect.
✓ Build genuine professional trust without relying on generic tactics that drain you
✓ move forward with more clarity, more direction, and more confidence in who you are

Over 8 weeks, you will be guided through a structured process that helps you make sense of under-recognition, reconnect with who you are, and communicate your value more clearly.

By the end of the programme, you will not simply feel more confident.

Reconnect with the capable professional you were before the move, gathering proof that your strengths, judgment, and value have not disappeared.
Translate your experience in ways that feel true to you, so you can stop shrinking yourself and communicate with more clarity in professional settings, social spaces, and everyday life.
Step out of isolation and into meaningful connection, building relationships with people who understand what this transition can cost.
Leave with a grounded, practical plan for what comes next, with more clarity about your professional direction and more trust in your own value.

Then I moved to Australia and lost both of those things completely. My 10 years of experience? No one even wanted to listen.”
Later, she said: “I drafted it, and then we won the client for another 2-year contract.”
That moment helped her reconnect with her value and understand that her confidence had not disappeared, it had been buried under the weight of everything she was carrying.
This program is for you if:
✓ you are highly capable, but your professional life no longer reflects your real value
✓ you are tired of feeling overlooked, underestimated, or misunderstood in this new market
✓ you are exhausted from constantly translating yourself,
your experience, and your worth
✓ you have taken a step back professionally and refuse to let it define the rest of your career
✓ you want support that is practical and emotionally honest, without being asked to become someone else in order to belong
✓ you are ready to be supported by people who understand what this transition can cost
This is for people who are ready to stop constantly proving themselves and start moving forward with clearer strategy, stronger support, and renewed trust in themselves.
This is not for people looking for quick fixes, passive content,
or another generic course to work through on their own.
I built this program from lived experience, not theory alone.
I moved from South Africa to the UK in my early twenties, and later migrated to Australia with my family. Two of my four daughters were born in Australia, and I rebuilt my life and career through marriage, motherhood, migration, and divorce.
I know what it is to hold responsibility, grief, ambition, exhaustion, and hope all at once.
I also bring leadership experience in schools, two master’s degrees, and a psychologically grounded approach shaped by years of work across education, human development, and wellbeing.
I know the cost of feeling professionally invisible.
I know the pressure of trying to sound right, prove enough, and keep going when there is not much room to fall apart.
Moving countries stripped me of who I was. I also know the way back.
Rooted & Recognised was built to offer the kind of support many skilled immigrants are quietly looking for: something grounded, intelligent, emotionally honest, and strategically useful.

A practical first step to help you clarify how to talk about your experience, identify your strongest proof points, and express your value more clearly.
That is exactly why this program does not begin with generic job search advice. It goes deeper than tactics that treat the symptom and miss the real issue.
Neither do I. This work is practical, psychologically grounded, and rooted in the real barriers skilled immigrants face. It names structural problems, not personal failings.
That exhaustion is real. This programme is designed to reduce confusion, not add to it. The aim is to help you stop wasting energy on strategies that keep you stuck.
No. It may feel heavier now, but that does not mean your career is beyond repair. Research shows that the longer skilled immigrants stay out of their field, the harder it becomes to return. That is not a reason to panic. It is a reason to stop waiting.
That fear makes sense. Rooted & Recognised sits in the space many people actually need: more supportive and structured than trying to do this alone, without the pressure of high-ticket one-to-one coaching.
Rooted & Recognised is for skilled immigrants in Australia who are ready to stop circling the problem
and start moving differently.
